The Story
Many years ago, we used to play this game on long train rides to sports training camps. Armed with nothing more than a squared notebook page and a pen, we would spend hours immersed in one match after another, barely noticing the journey go by.
Years later, one simple question came to mind: why not turn it into an app?
Today, notebook paper is no longer something everyone carries around, but everyone has a smartphone. So we decided to bring the game into the digital world—making it just as easy to start a match anywhere, anytime.
This is the result.
Description
Word Game is a browser-based multiplayer word game designed for groups.
Players take turns adding one letter to the board, creating new Russian nouns from the letters already in play. Each word must form one continuous path without diagonal moves or revisiting the same cell, although the path may turn at right angles. Every accepted letter is worth one point, and the player with the highest score at the end wins.
The game includes support for multiple players, a turn timer, automatic starting-word generation, offline dictionary validation, and a complete game history.
